Black History Month Brand Spotlight: Rebecca Allen Shoes NY
We are so excited to share Rebecca Allen's amazing story for Black History Month. Rebecca started her journey in the fashion industry with the most serendipitous beginning, but with effort and know-how, she was able to create something truly amazing and stellar and we are so in awe of her achievements.
Rebecca's trailblazing story is exactly the kind of story we strive to highlight during Black History Month, and we are so proud and thrilled to be able to put her illustrious brand on our platform and especially in our store. Rebecca's story is one of resilience and determination in the Black community, and it's an inspiring reminder of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication.
We hope that her story will inspire our audience and bring further attention to the multitude of wonderful accomplishments of so many African-American pioneers in the fashion industry.

It was just a gaping hole in my closet. There was Louboutin making a few different shades, but it was expensive and the red bottom wasn’t appropriate for my office. I just felt like, well why not me?”
After her major transformative moment in life, Rebecca ultimately sought out to change the inclusive shoe industry for all people of color. Along with that, she also sought to provide professional and comfortable work shoe options to give parents choices that aligned with their roles, too. She tells Nordstrom:
